Things to do and see

The beaches are Amanzimtoti's main attraction for most visitors. For your safety, we recommend you swim at protected beaches where lifeguards are present. Swim between the beacons and obey the lifeguard’s instructions. Use adequate sun protection. Shark nets ensure safe protected swimming areas.

The surf temperature is normally in the low twenties, seldom falling below 20 degrees.

The area offers various excellent rock and surf angling spots. Please note that a fishing permit is required and is obtainable from the local post office.
