Cornwallis Game Ranch is situated 25 km’s outside Brits on 235 hectares of pristine “Bushveld Savannah”. The farm is a mere 95 km’s and a 90 minute drive from Fourways, Johannesburg. The thatched camp is rustic yet comfortable and comprises 2 bedrooms sleeping 6 in total. Linen, bedding and towels are provided.

 

The thatched central facility comprises an insect proof open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area, leading out to a very neat open-air reed boma. The boma at night has a wonderful atmosphere, where you can sit and relax around the evening log fire whilst taking in the cry of the Jackal or the roar of the nearby Lion.

 

Braai facilities are in the boma.Our friendly camp staff will clean your rooms, make up your beds, clean the communal areas, light the fire and see to your general wellbeing. (No cooking)


Features

HARRIS CAMP is the only accommodation presently available thus ensuring guests of an exclusive, private and well deserved break.

The ranch is stocked with Kudu, Blue Wildebeest, Impala, Blesbuck and a host of smaller diurnal and nocturnal mammals such as Jackal and Caracal. Leopard and baboon traverse regularly over the ranch so precautions and due diligence should be exercised after sunset.

Activities include game-viewing, walking, swimming, mountain biking, fishing and birdwatching.

 

Nearby the Magalies Meander offers watersports, a Dutch Cheese farm and much more. Only 45 minutes away is Sun City and Pilansberg National Park.
