Evelyn Guest House, situated across the road from the Graham Hotel, is a small discreet venue for the more discerning visitor.  Guests are accommodated in the luxurious rooms, with the option of the beautiful Executive Suite with its own private lounge, dining area and fireplace. 

The Guest House is a gracious historic building, surrounded by a private garden with a swimming pool.  Evelyn Guest House offers a warm and gracious environment for those who appreciate the finer things in life

Up market mini-conferences can be arranged, and smaller functions are catered for in the dining room or outside around the pool. The conference room can accommodate your delegates in the following seating arrangements:

U shape: 12 delegates; Schoolroom Style: 18 Delegates; Cinema Style: 20 delegates; Banquet: 18 delegates.
The conference room overlooks the beautiful garden and pool area.

The Guest House is set in the peaceful ambience of historic Grahamstown within walking distance to Cinemas, the Rhodes Theatre, a host of National Museums, close to the central business district, and Rhodes University.




Things to do and see

Aside from exploring the beautiful city of Grahamstown, tours can be arranged from the hotel to Settlers Dam, and to a multitude of Malaria-free National, Provincial and Private Game Parks and Nature Reserves, some with Big Five Safaris. Local sporting facilities are available for all major sports, including Golf, Tennis and Squash.  Adrenalin sports in the area include Skydiving, Microlighting and Rock Climbing.  Horse riding, Hiking and 4x4 trails are also available. The glorious beaches of the Sunshine Coast are a mere 40 minute drive away.
