CARMINE LUXURY SUITE - Named after the Carmine Bee Eater.
This spacious suite supports a fireplace, his and her outdoor stone shower, private veranda with a small secret garden. A bath tub for 2 with plenty of candles, King sized extra length bed. R1490.00 pp,pn,dbb

CINNAMON LUXURY SUITE - Named after the Cinnamon Dove.  This suite has it's own veranda, Lounge area, outdoor stone shower, a ball and claw bath set in the bay window looking into the bush. Queen size 4 poster bed.  R1350.00 pp, pn, dbb

NARINA LUXURY SUITE -Named after the Narina Trogon   This suite has it's own veranda, Lounge area, outdoor stone shower, Ball and claw bath tub set in the bay window looking into the bush. Queen sized 4 poster beds. R1350.00 pp,pn,dbb

SWAINSON LUXURY SUITE - Named after the Swainson Francolin (Spur fowl). This suite supports a bathtub for two with plenty of candles, Lounge area, Queen size bed. R1225.00 pp, pn, dbb

TAMBOURINE LUXURY SUITE - Named after the Tabourine dove - This suite has a corner bath, Queen sized bed, patio and outdoor stone shower. R1225.00 pp, pn, dbb

THE FOREST COTTAGE - Self catering  The cottage is a rustic wooden fully equipped self-catering cottage, with a fridge/freezer, microwave, we provide towels, soap, tea, coffee, all you need to bring is your food, clothes shampoos etc. it has limited DSTV, and fireplace for that chilly evening!

The cottage comprises of 1 queen bedroom en-suite (bath and toilet, with the shower over the bath), another small bedroom with single bed and a double sleeper couch in the lounge.
The cottage is situated 1/2km away from the main lodge area next to the indigenous forest, with stunning view of the mountains, and is totally private. R1100.00 per night

 

BEE EATER  - Self catering unit

Named after the Carmine Bee eater,  This spacious Self-catering unit supports a Braai, Fridge, Microwave oven, gas 2 plate stove, and is fully equipped, has a fireplace, DSTV, his and her outdoor stone shower, veranda, it's own private garden, huge bath tub for two with lots of romantic candles, King sized extra length bed. Fan, Electric blanket and heater, snuggle under our percale cotton duvets and linen

For self catering options we provide firewood for the fireplace and braai, should you wish to braai on charcoal, then please bring your own.

You are welcome to have a meal and or drinks at the lodge,

Things to do and see

BUSH BATH - Set in a secluded spot, enjoy a 'Bath' in the bush, with lots of bubbles and champagne under the moonlight and stars.

FOREST SPA - Indulge yourself in our private Spa overlooking the gorge, go home feeling relaxed and stress free.

GAZEBO ROMANTIC PRIVATE DINNER - Spoil your loved one, and request this romantic setting for a totally private candle lit dinner under the gazebo. Many a proposal of marrage has been accepted in this lovely setting!

HIKING -Marked trails through the forest, along the stream, (where in summer you can see the tiny tree Orchids in Bloom) 

TROUT FISHING - Amble down the hill and fish for brown and rainbow trout 

BIRD WATCHING - We have a prolific variety of uncommon species of birds which can be seen, including a resident pair of Black Eagles. We have a Forest Creek bird list.


CLAY PIGEON SHOOTING - An interesting and testing range for the novice and experienced shotists.

HORSE RIDING - A mere 4kms from the lodge one can book a horse ride, and enjoy the views from horse back. This must please be booked in advance

HIKERS PICNIC - A picnic packed in a rucksack, get ready to hike to the waterfall!


LAZY PICNIC - A picnic set out for you in a private spot, with champagne, a good one for the romantic at heart.
