McNamara’s Gastro Pub

McNamara's Gastro Pub is a fabulous new offering at The Lagoon Beach Hotel. It looks directly over the Atlantic Ocean towards Robben Island and Table Mountain. There is a large wooden deck outside with direct access to the beach. A perfect place for a light meal and a sundowner.

A gastro pub is a British term for an up market Bar which specializes in high-quality food a step above the more basic "pub grub." The name is a combination of pub and gastronomy and was coined in 1991 when David Eyre and Mike Belben opened a pub called The Eagle in Clerkenwell, London.
The concept "helped create a truly European culinary scene" and "arose from a conscious effort to promote great food in well-loved places.
Combining Four Star Elegance with a relaxed pub feel is what McNamara’s is all about. The menu is by no means ordinary yet still has a familiar pub feel to it. With a mixture of bench seating, a lounge area and cocktail tables it is an area that will appeal to people with all tastes.

Zorba’s of the 70’s, a modern recreation of the famous restaurant of that era, is located at the Lagoon Beach Hotel. Just a stone’s throw from the lagoon mouth, Zorba’s offers fine dining in an elegant seaside setting.

We pride ourselves in offering clients excellent food, great service and a memorable day. As an added value service the hotel has employed the services of a professional wedding coordinator to assist clients in coordinating their perfect day. There will also be a coordinator on duty on your Big Day to ensure that everything runs smoothly. This is an added value service offered to Lagoon Beach Couples at no additional fee.

Special accommodation rates are available for wedding guests attending the wedding and can be booked with the wedding coordinator. The hotel also boasts a luxurious in-house spa where sessions can be booked. The Camelot spa also offers special bridal packages.
