Wonderful sunrises, the beach almost at your doorstep, and set away from, but within two minutes drive of the centre of Port Alfred, Spinning Reel offers a restful, comfortable and secluded holiday break for families, romantic getaways, or a re-charging stopover for the weary traveler.

All our beach cottages and log cabins have been strategically placed amongst the natural dune vegetation to ensure each unit's privacy. With no roads between Spinning Reel and the beach, the cottages and cabins are literally a stones throw from the beach.

Let your hair down, feel the beach sand between your toes, listen to the soothing sounds of the breaking waves, watch the whales go by ..... relax!

For the more energetic, there is a tennis court, jogging on the beach or the quiet rural roads, and the Royal Port Alfred Golf Course is nearby. Hire a boat and head up the river. There are Malaria free game parks near by which include-Addo elephant, Kariego, Pumba, Kwandwe, Lalibela and Shamwari.
