Swiss Villa Guest House is a graceful sandstone home built in 1913 and situated in the hamlet of Nieuwoudtville, in the Hantam Karoo, Northern Cape, SA. Our guesthouse is set in a beautiful garden, amongst large established trees, on a wide expanse of lawn.

Guests will be welcomed by hosts Margie and Chris and they will find clean, spacious rooms with comfortable beds, fitted with white percale cotton bed linen.

An Art Deco fireplace in the lounge welcomes guests on those chilly winter nights, or fresh Karoo mornings - curl up in a large comfortable chair or on a sofa and enjoy the ambiance of the warmth of the fire!

Wholesome home cooked meals are on offer to all our guests. Vegetarian meals and special dietary requirements are catered for upon request.

There are many reason to come and be our guest - Nieuwoudtville's rich diversity ensures that whatever season you come to visit - there will always be something to be explored. Within a 20km stretch - from the top of Van Rhyn's Pass, out past the Wild Flower Reserve - there are THREE biomes - thre Vegetation types (Cape Fynbos, Succulent Karoo and the Dolerite Sills). Being the Bulb Capital of the World, one spin-off is our porcupines are the largest, in both size and population numbers, bulbs being their favourite food source.

For Birders, we have many birds to "twitch" and add to your list, eg Ludwig's Bustards, Namaqua Grouse etc., also Spring & Autumn migrations. With our clean air, peace & tranquility you can go home Restored, Rested & Rejuvinated!
