Die Antwoord in an up and coming rave, hip-hop and rap band, from South Africa. They held their first live performance at Rafest 3 in February of 2009. Their music is mainly web based and their videos can be seen popping up all over the internet.

The current band members of Die Antwood consists of Ninja, Yo-landi Vi$$er and DJ Hi-Tek. The group is said to get its inspiration for lyrics from the culture located throughout Cape Flats and Western Cape. They incorporate the drug addiction found in these places along with the prison systems own gangs, into their music style.

The lead vocalist of Die Antwood, Ninja, was actually born with the name Watkin Tudor Jones in Cape Town, South Africa. He and his band member Yo-Landi are married and have a 16 year old daughter together.

Ninja is not a newbie when it comes to music and performing. He has been known by many names throughout the years including The Man Who Never Came Back, MC Totally Rad, Yang Weapon, Max Normal, Constructus Corporation, Maxnormal.TV, Watkin Tudor Jones, Jones Junior and Waddy. In 1994 he was in the band The Original Evergreens which was signed to the Sony Music label. Their hit albums included Puff the Magic and Burn the Evidence. He had a brief spot in a band named Max Normal and produced an album named Songs from a Mall in 2001.

Die Antwoord has a massive schedule this year and can be seen performing live on Friday June 18th, 2010 where they will be at Ekhaya in Pretoria, South Africa.

They will hop over to Balaton Lake, Hungary on Friday July 9th 2010 to be seen live at the Balaton Sound Festival. For the Americans, Die Antwoord will be appearing at the DoubleDoor on Wednesday July 14th 2010 in Chicago, IL. Thursday, July 15th, they can be seen performing live in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada at the Venue.

On Sunday August 8th 2010 they appear at the Summer Sonic Festival that is held in Tokyo, Japan. Die Antwoord will fly over to Zurich, Switzerland on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 to perform at The Hive Club.
