Franschhoek is a town that is located in the Western Providence of South Africa. It has a population of 15,000 and is located about 75 kilometers from Cape Town. The name “Franschhoek” means French corner. This town was first founded by the French Huguenots in 1668. Franschhoek is a small town, but has grown tremendously over the past few decades. The pleasant weather and the proximity to Cape Town is what makes this town a popular place to live.

Franschhoek is known for its breweries and wineries. Mont Rochelle, Dieu Donne and Bellingham are just a few of the places where people can get a taste of some of the finest wine in the world. The Franschhoek Motor Museum is another one of the most popular attractions in this town. This museum displays a fantastic collection of cars from the early days to the present.

There are several great places to eat in Franschhoek. The Alle Bleue Bistro is one of the most popular restaurants in this town. This restaurant serves fresh food that is picked directly from the garden. It also offers a wide selection of wine. Rueben’s is another restaurant that is popular with both residents and tourists. It serves pasta, coffee and contemporary cuisine. This restaurant has outdoor seating, which makes it great choice for a romantic date or a family gathering.

Franschhoek is a great place to live or take a vacation. This town offers many fun things to do and see as well as great dining options.
